DHAKA, Feb 5, 2024 (BSS) - Awami League (AL) Joint General Secretary AFM Bahauddin Nasim, MP, today said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is providing opportunities for women to ensure their empowerment in every sector and the trend will continue in the days to come.
 
"Womenfolk will keep contributing to the development of all sectors in the country and its people in the future", he expressed hope at an inauguration function of the annual sports competition at Motijheel Government Girls High School here.
 
Nasim said, "Dhaka-8 constituency is the centre of the capital city, so I want to make the area further developed."
 
The BNP-Jamaat and their followers became isolated from the people due to their subversive activities in the name of the movement, he said.
 
Stern actions will be taken if BNP-Jamaat tries to create anarchy in the name of movement, he added.
 
"We want to make a developed and democratic country under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina," said Nasim, adding that BNP-Jamaat and their followers don't want progress in the country.
 
Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman worked for the country and its people throughout his entire life. That's why AL always works for the nation and its people, he further added.
