DHAKA, Feb 7, 2024 (BSS)- Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) Director General Additional IGP M Khurshid Hossain today said the elite force will conduct regular mobile court to control the essential commodities.

He said this while exchanging views with newly elected executive committee members of Crime Reporters Association of Bangladesh (CRAB) at RAB headquarters in the city.

The RAB DG congratulated the new committee with giving floral bouquets.

Khurshid said it will be possible to bring any type of criminals including militants, dacoits, extortionists, murderers and kidnappers under book with the combined efforts of RAB and journalists. The RAB force will conduct drives against drug peddlers and extortionists in vehicles carrying products in future also, he said.

He urged the journalists to provide information of crimes to maintain the law and order.

RAB DG (operations) Colonel Md Mahabub Alam, additional DG (admin) DIG Imtiaz Ahmed, CRAB president Kamruzzaman Khan, general secretary Sirazul Islam and other members of committee were present.
