DHAKA, Feb 15, 2024 (BSS) - Land Minister Narayon Chandra Chanda said the government is committed to improve the welfare and livelihood of local fishermen.

He was presiding over the 76th meeting of the committee on leasing of government Jalmahals (water bodies) of the Land Ministry at the ministry conference room at the Secretariat.

Land Secretary Md Khalilur Rahman, officials of the land ministry, Department of Cooperatives and Department of Fisheries were present, while concerned deputy commissioners virtually attended the meeting.
