DU entry test for Arts, Law & Social Science units tomorrow 

DHAKA, Feb 22, 2024 (BSS) - Admission test of Dhaka University's Arts, Law and Social Science units, revised units from previous 'Kha' and 'Gha', for the 2023-24 academic session will begin tomorrow in all the eight divisions of the country. 

"A total of 112,278 students applied to vie against 2,944 seats, with 38 aspirants against each seat. Out of this, 51,392 students from humanities, 48,837 from science and 12,049 from commerce background", said Dhaka University Admission Test Committee Convener Professor Dr Mostafizur Rahman.

The one and half hour test will be held from 11am to 12:30pm. Out of this, 45 minutes have been allotted for MCQ exam and 45 minutes for the written exam. 

Students will be evaluated on the basis of total of 120 marks in the admission test. Out of this, admission test will carry 100 marks and secondary and equivalent and higher secondary and equivalent examination results will carry 20 marks. 

The admission seekers will have to answer 60 MCQ questions from Bangla, English and general knowledge and 40 number of written tests from Bangla and English within the given 90 minutes. 

Like previous years, the DU authorities have decided to take the exams on the campus and seven divisional cities across the country to reduce the suffering of students and parents.

The entry test of the business studies unit will be held on February 24 (Saturday), science unit's test will be held on March 1 (Friday) and fine arts unit's test (general knowledge and drawing) will be held on March 9 (Saturday).

The entry test will be held in eight divisions at the following venues -- Dhaka University, Rajshahi University, Chittagong University, Khulna University, Barishal University, Begum Rokeya University, Bangladesh Agricultural University and Shahjalal University of Science and Technology.
