DHAKA, Feb 25, 2024 (BSS) - Awami League leaders today paid glowing tributes to Pilkhana carnage victim army officers who were brutally killed on February 25-26, 2009 in BDR (now BGB) headquarters.

The party leaders placed wreaths at the graves of slain army officers at Banani Military Graveyard in the capital this morning.

AL's presidium member Lt. Col. (Retd) Muhammad Faruk Khan, organizing secretaries Abu Sayeed Al Mahmud Swapan and Afjal Hossain, relief and social welfare secretary Aminul Islam, deputy office secretary Sayem Khan, member Shahabuddin Farazi were present.

After paying homage, Faruk Khan, also civil aviation and tourism minister, said perpetrators of the carnage will be found out soon.

He urged all to remain alert to avoid recurrence of Pilkhana carnage like incident.
