DHAKA, Sept 15, 2021 (BSS) - The Dhaka University (DU) authorities are likely to open its dormitories from October 5 only for honors final year and masters' students who have received at least one doze of vaccines.

     The library of the university will be reopened on September 26 for final year and masters students, Md Akram Hossain, Provost of Father of the nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman told BSS.

     The recommendations were placed in the academic council meeting held this evening, with DU Vice Chancellor Dr Md Akhtaruzzaman in the chair.

     However, the decision will be finalized in the academic council meeting scheduled to be held tomorrow at 4.00 pm at university's Nabab Nawab Ali Chowdhury Senate Bhaban.

     The residential halls of the university remain closed since March 18 last year soon after the Covid-19 pandemic hit the country.
