DHAKA, March 1, 2024 (BSS) – Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury today expressed deep shock and sorrow at the deaths in a devastating fire at a commercial building of the city's Bailey road area.

In a condolence message, the Speaker prayed for eternal peace of the departed souls and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved families. She sought quick recovery of the fire wound people.

The deadly blaze that originated at 9.30pm on Thursday at a restaurant on Bailey Road, so  far, killed at 46 people.
