DHAKA, Mar 4, 2024 (BSS) – The Information Commission Bangladesh (ICB) today directed the Chief Engineer to take necessary action against upazila engineer of Taraganj under Rangpur district for not attending a hearing without valid reasons.

The upazila engineer of Taraganj without any valid reason, failed to attend the hearing and send deputy assistant engineer in place of him.

Chief Information Commissioner (CIC) Dr Abdul Malek and Information Commissioners Shahidul Alam Jhinuk and Masuda Bhatti passed the order after hearing of the concerned parties under RTI Act, a press release said.

A total of six charges were placed for hearing at the Information Commission today and of those four were disposed of.
