DHAKA, March 4, 2024 (BSS) - US-Bangla Airlines, one of the country's private airlines, is set to launch daily direct flights from Dhaka and Chattogram to Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) from April 19.
Abu Dhabi will be US-Bangla's third destination in the UAE as the airline currently operates flights to UAE's Dubai and Sharjah, a press release said here today.
The airline has decided to operate flights to Abu Dhabi due to the demand of expatriate Bangladeshis as part of future plans.
The carrier planned to operate direct flights on the Dhaka-Abu Dhabi route on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday and Saturday, and on the Chittagong-Abu Dhabi route, US Bangla will fly on Tuesday, Friday and Sunday.
The minimum one-way fare for traveling from Dhaka and Chittagong to Abu Dhabi is Taka 41,155 and return Taka 71,300.
The Abu Dhabi flight is planned to be operated with Boeing 737-800 aircraft and ticket sales have started today and all distribution channels of US-Bangla are simultaneously open for sale.
Currently, the US-Bangla fleet has a total of 23 aircraft, including one 436-seat Airbus 330-300, 9 Boeing 737-800, 10 ATR 72-600 and 3 Dash8-Q400 aircraft.
US Bangla is going to add another Airbus 330-300 to its fleet within this month as the carrier plans to operate flights to Jeddah this year.
Apart from Dubai, Sharjah, US-Bangla currently operates flights to Muscat, Doha, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Male, Bangkok, Guangzhou, Kolkata and Chennai.
Besides, international routes, US-Bangla is operating domestic flights especially from Dhaka to Cox's Bazar, Chattogram, Sylhet, Saidpur, Jashore and Rajshahi.
