DHAKA, March 5, 2024 (BSS) – Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina today greeted all the members of BCS (Administration) Cadre marking the 'Annual Conference-2024' of Bangladesh Administrative Service Association (BASA) to be held tomorrow.
 
“I extend my warm greetings to all the members of BCS (Administration) Cadre,” she said in a message on eve of the conference..
 
The Premier, in her message, said that responding to the call of the greatest Bangalee of all time and the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the members of this service participated in the great liberation war.
 
After the country’s independence, Bangladesh took various initiatives to organize the administrative service, she said, adding that the members of the Administrative Service Association also played an important role in the reconstruction of the newly independent Bangladesh.
 
She said the BCS (Administration) cadre members are working tirelessly for the development of the country and nation with honesty, devotion, sincerity and pro-service mentality.

The role of this cadre in the implementation of annual development programs and mega projects is prominent and commendable, she added.
 
Many members of this cadre have received national and international awards in various fields in recognition of their works, she said.
 
Highlighting the role of the cadre in successfully holding the January 7 General Election in 2024, she said 66 returning officers of BCS (Administration) cadre, 536 assistant returning officers and more than 2,000 executive magistrates have performed their assigned duties with honesty and devotion in the light of the instructions of the Election Commission.
 
The premier hoped that the efficient members of this cadre will play a leading role as always in building a developed-prosperous-smart Bangladesh as dreamt by the father of the nation by 2041.
