DHAKA, March 7, 2024 (BSS) - Faiz Ullah Bhuiyan of daily Naya Diganta and Aditya Arafat of DBC News were elected president and general secretary respectively of Feni Sangbadik Forum, Dhaka (FSFD) for 2024-26 tenure. 

The election was held at the second session of bi-annual general meeting of FSFD, a forum for journalists from Feni working in different news media in the capital. 

The other office bearers of the new committee are: vice-presidents - Sarwar Alam of daily Desh Rupantor and Jafar Iqbal of daily Sangram, joint general secretary -Mahmudul Hasan Raju of BSS, treasurer - Burhan Uddin Foysal of Dhaka Morning News, organizing secretary- Hossain Imam Sohel of Jagonews24.com, publicity and office secretary - Sazzad Hossain Chishti of Risingbd.com and entertainment affairs secretary - Sakhawat Hossain Mishu. 

Outgoing president Tanvir Aladin of BSS, Sajeda Sweety of ATN News, Salma Afroz of Ekushey Sangbad, Amir Hossain Jony of The Economic Express, Anwar Ebrahim of daily Samakal and Kefayet Shakil of Banglavision were elected as executive committee members.

A three-member election commission comprising Motahar Hossain Masum, Ayub Bhuiyan and Loton Ekram conducted the election. 

Presided over by Tanvir Aladin, the first session of the meeting was conducted by Faiz Ullah Bhuiyan and was addressed by daily Observer Editor Iqbal Sobhan Chowdhury, daily Sangband news editor Kazi Rafique and M Abdullah, among others.
