DHAKA, Sept 18, 2021 (BSS) - Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) today arrested Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of e-commerce company Evaly Md Russell and his wife Shamima Nasrin, the chairman of the organization in city in connection with a fraud case. 

     Assistant Director RAB's Legal and Media Wing Imran Khan told BSS that they were detained from their home at Niloy Comprehensive Holding (House No. 5/5A) at Sir Syed Road in Mohammadpur this afternoon.

     Earlier, a case was filed against them alleging embezzlement of customer's money.

     One Arif Baker filed a case against Russell and his wife Shamima Nasrin, the chairman of the company, for fraud and embezzlement.

     In the allegation he alleged that Arif Baker and his friends paid Taka 3,10,598 through online banking using a bank card for the price of Evaly products in different times from May 29 to June 18, 2021. 

     The company promised a full refund if they fail to deliver products within seven to 45 days.
