DHAKA, March 9, 2024 (BSS) - Environment, Forest and Climate Change Minister Saber Hossain Chowdhury today said he wants to build his Dhaka-9 (Khilgaon-Sabujbagh) constituency self-contained in basic needs including health, communications and education.
"Sabujbagh-Khilgaon area is my constituency and I am a member of parliament from this constituency by yours vote. I want to build Dhaka-9 constituency as self-contained in all basic needs," he said.
Saber was addressing a literary-cultural and award giving ceremony and guardian's rally at Sabujbagh Government College in the capital.
Sabujbagh Government College Principal Shamim Ara Begum chaired the function while its officers' council secretary Md Nasir Uddin, BSS's National Desk in-charge Tanvir Aladin on behalf of the guardians, Jakir Hossain on behalf of the teachers and Usrat Atika on behalf of students spoke.
The college teacher Ziaul Kabir was convener of the programme.
Sixteen former students of the college who got chance to get admission into different medical colleges received award on the occasion while winners in different literary and cultural competitions were given prizes.
