DHAKA, March 10, 2024 (BSS) - The 1st meeting of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Shipping Ministry of the 12th National Parliament was held at the Jatiya Sangsad (JS) Bhaban here today.

 
Chairman of the standing committee Mahfuzur Rahman presided over the meeting, said an official press release.

Committee Members State Minister for Shipping Khalid Mahmud Chowdhury, Golam Kibria Tipu, Md. Zakaria, Feroz Ahammed Shapon, Habibun Nahar and other officials concerned attended the meeting.

The committee, in the meeting, recommended arranging sea-track service and starting ferry service day-night to serve the coastal residents of Sandwip and keep the ferry running in double trip for 6 months from April to September.
