DHAKA, March 10, 2024 (BSS) - A day-long exhibition demonstrating innovative programmes was held today with the active participation of the Information and Broadcasting Ministry and its affiliated departments and agencies at the Tathya Bhaban in the capital.
Organized by the Information and Broadcasting Ministry, the exhibition was unfolded under the Bangladesh government's e-Governance and Innovation Action Plan 2023-2024 to facilitate the service to the beneficiaries.
During the showcasing, 'innovation team' of the Ministry and its affiliated departments and agencies demonstrated their latest innovative ideas in separate stalls.
Information and Broadcasting Ministry's Additional secretary Dr. Mohammad Altaf-Ul-Alam inaugurated the 'Innovation showcasing' while Principal Information Officer (PIO) Shahinoor Miah, other senior officials and 'innovation team' members of affiliated departments and agencies, among others, were present.
In his speech, Alam said that this kind of showcasing will make other government institutions more interested in new innovations, improving the quality of service and reducing the suffering of the people.
Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha (BSS), Press Information Department (PID), Bangladesh Betar, Bangladesh Television (BTV), Department of Mass Communication (DMC), Department of Films & Publications (DFP), Bangladesh Film Archive (BFA), Press Institute of Bangladesh (PIB), National Institute of Mass Communication (NIMC), Bangladesh Film Development Corporation (BFDC), Bangladesh Film Censor Board and Bangladesh Press Council participated in the event.
The ministry formed a three-member committee to evaluate the 'innovation showcasing' where Bangladesh Betar, Bangladesh Television (BTV) and Press Information Department (PID) were declared the first, second and third respectively.
