DHAKA, March 10, 2024 (BSS) - Environment, Forest and Climate Change Minister and local lawmaker Saber Hossain Chowdhury today suddenly visited a construction site after being informed that a house was being built on Titas Road in South Banasri of Dhaka, violating the rules and regulations.
During his inspection, he found that the construction of the house continued without remaining any space on roadside, leaving construction materials indiscriminately and without covering the under-construction house for safety.
He then instructed Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) Executive Magistrate Jahangir Alam to take action as per the rules.
The DSCC magistrate fined the house owner Taka 11.24 lakh for continuing house construction work in Dakshina Banasree area violating rules and regulations of the country.
Saber Hossain Chowdhury said legal measures will continue to be taken against those who violate the government's regulations or pollute the environment.
He urged all to follow the law and rules to improve the quality of the country's environment.
