DHAKA, March 10, 2024 (BSS) - Chairman of Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha (BSS) board of directors Martuza Ahmed today expressed profound shock and sorrow at the death of Prime Minister's Press Secretary, prominent journalist and 1971 Liberation War veteran Ihsanul Karim Helal.

In a condolence message, he prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family.

Ihsanul Karim, former Managing Director and Chief Editor of BSS, breathed his last around 8.00 pm today at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) where he was under life-support with multiple-organ complications.

He was 74.
