DHAKA, March 16, 2024 (BSS) - President Mohammed Shahabuddin has expressed profound shock and sorrow at the death of former state minster for Fisheries and Livestock and valiant Freedom Fighter Md Abdul Hyee, MP.

In a condolence message, the President said, Abdul Hyee was a
dedicated worker of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and Bangladesh Awami League.

Recalling his role for the country with due respect, he said, people would always remember his contribution to local politics for long.

The Head of State prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul of the deceased and conveyed sympathy to the bereaved family.

Abdul Hyee, ruling Awami League (AL) lawmaker from Jhenaidah-1 (Shailkupa) constituency and Jhenaidah district AL President, passed away at Bamrungrad Hospital in Thailand early this morning at the age of 71.
