DHAKA, March 18, 2024 (BSS) - Bangladesh missions abroad celebrated the 104th birth anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and the National Children's Day in a befitting manner.
The programme began with hoisting of the national flag, playing of the national anthem and laying of wreaths at the portrait of the Father of the Nation.
Special prayers were offered at the respective offices abroad seeking eternal peace of the departed souls of Bangabandhu and his martyred family members.
On the occasion, High Commissioners and Ambassadors of Bangladesh spoke about the colorful political and struggling life, ideals of Bangabandhu and his role and contribution to building an independent country.
To mark the anniversary of Bangabandhu and the National Children's Day, drawing and easy writing competitions were organized in these countries and prizes were distributed among the winners alongside screening documentaries on the colorful life and works of Bangabandhu.

in Copenhagen, Denmark and Bangladesh High Commission, Ottawa, Canada and Bangladeshi missions in other countries observed the birth anniversary of Bangabandhu amid various programmes.
