DHAKA, March 19, 2024 (BSS) - The Anti-Terrorism Unit (ATU) of Police has arrested a member of an organized online fraud gang that embezzled huge amounts of money by offering online jobs from the city's Khilkhet Police Station area on Monday night.

The arrested was identified as Moazzem Hossain, 26, son of Md. Zakir Hossain from Anondobazar village under Halisahar Police Station of Chattogram district

Acting on a tip-off, a team of ATU conducted drives in the city's Khilkhet Police Station area and arrested him around 8:15 on Monday, Superintendent of Police (SP) of ATU Media and Awareness wing Barrister Mahfuzul Alam Rasel told BSS today.

Legal action has been taken against him, he added.
