DHAKA, March 19, 2024 (BSS) - Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister M Faruk Kahn today sought investment from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in development of Bangladesh’s tourism infrastructures as well as building hotels and resorts.
“There are opportunities for the UAE to invest in development of tourism infrastructures and building hotels and resorts,” he said while UAE ambassador Abdullah Ali Al Hamoudi to Bangladesh called on him at the Secretariat here.
The minister said, if the UAE would like to invest in the country’s tourism sector Dhaka is ready to provide all kinds of assistance in this regard.
In reply, the envoy said his country is keen to provide assistance to Bangladesh in the tourism industry along with increasing the existing cooperation in aviation sector between the UAE and Bangladesh.
The ambassador said the aviation and tourism industries would further strengthen the friendship between the peoples of the two countries.
The civil aviation and tourism minister said the Bangladesh government has been working sincerely in tourism development by utilising its untapped natural beauty and rich cultural heritage.
Khan also said that the government had taken various measures to attract foreign tourists.
The minister hoped that the new area of tourism cooperation along with aviation partnership will take the Bangladesh-UAE ties to greater heights.
