DAKAR, March 25, 2024 (BSS/AFP) - Senegal's governing coalition backing presidential candidate Amadou Ba on Sunday said it was "certain" there would be a second-round vote, as several candidates congratulated opponent Bassirou Diomaye Faye on his first-round win.

"In the light of the results reported by our expert teams, we are certain that, in the worst-case scenario, we will be in a second-round" the management of Amadou Ba's campaign said in a statement, accusing Faye's camp of attempted "manipulation".
