DHAKA, March 25, 2024 (BSS)- Bangladesh Railways (BR) has given four instructions to concerned officials and employees to avoid any accident during the Eid.

According to an office order, the trains will have to be operated safely and in due time during the Eid to make smooth the journey of home-bound passengers, said a release here today.

The directives include taking steps to monitor railway tracks in risky areas by way-man and members of railway security forces and mobile number of the way-man and members of security forces will have to be preserved. If necessary, a team consisting with railway police, security force, and employees under a senior deputy assistant engineer will be patrolling. The railway masters, inspectors and senior deputy assistant engineers will inspect railway tracks in their respective areas and will inform the control room. Besides, every divisional engineer will inspect the monitoring activities closely.

Special trains marking the Eid-ul-Fitr will run from April 3.
