Dhaka, March 27, 2024 (BSS) - Awami League Joint General Secretary AFM Bahauddin Nasim, MP, today said BNP-Jamaat is a curse for the nation as they (BNP-Jamaat) always think about their own interests. 

"Even after 53 years of independence, the BNP-Jamaat is hindering the country's path of development and progress," he said.

Nasim made the comments at a food item distribution programme on Motijheel Janata Bank Bhavan premises this afternoon. Janata Bank Independence Officers Parishad organized the food distribution programme on the occasion of the Independence and National day. 

"They (BNP-Jamaat) are not patriotic. They do not believe in great liberation war and its spirits," Nasim said.

Ramadan is the month of fasting and restrain, he said, adding the BNP-Jamaat is not practicing restrain rather; they are trying to increase the sufferings of people in the name of movement. 

Chaired by President of Janata Bank Independence Officer Parishad Mehdi Hasan, the programme was conducted by its general secretary Md Yeasin, while Awami League organizing secretary Advocate Afzal Hossain, Janata Bank Managing Director CEO Abdul Jabbar, Janata Bank Deputy Managing Director Golam Mortuza and others spoke.
