DHAKA, April 1, 2024 (BSS) – Indonesian Ambassador to Bangladesh Heru Hartanto Subolo and International Organization for Migration (IOM) Mission Head Abdusattor Esoev have paid separate call on Foreign Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud. 

They paid the call on at the foreign minister’s office here today, said a press release. 

At the meeting, Indonesian ambassador and the foreign minister exchanged views on mutual interests and pledged to further strengthen bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries. 

Later, at the meeting with the IOM mission head, Dr Hasan said quick repatriation of the forcibly Myanmar citizens is the only solution to the Rohingya crisis. 

He drew attention of the IOM to the issue of climate migrants or those displaced by the effects of climate change. 

The IOM mission chief assured that their efforts regarding the matters will continue.
