DHAKA, April 23, 2024 (BSS) - A fire that broke out on 'MV Bangalee' launch in the capital's Shyambazar Ghat was brought under control after more than half an hour effort this afternoon.
 
After receiving information, five fire fighting units rushed to the spot at 1.05 pm and brought the fire under control by 1.45pm, said fire service media cell official Talha Bin Jashim.
 
The fire broke out at the launch at Shyambazar Launch Ghat around 12.55pm.
 
Each two fire fighting units from Sadarghat and Postogola and one from Siddique Bazar fire station rushed to the spot and brought the fire under control.
 
No casualties were reported due to the fire and the fire service official so far could not identify the exact cause behind the fire. Even no passengers were on board during the fire.
