RANGAMATI, April 25, 2024 (BSS) - The death toll from Sajek road accident on Wednesday near Sajek-Udaipur border of Bagaichari upazila of the district has risen to nine.

"The death toll so far reportedly reached nine as duty doctor declared three others dead at Khagrachari Sadar Hospital last night", said Shirin Akter, Upazila Nirbahi Officr (UNO), Bagaichari.

The identities of the three deceased could not be known immediately.

The accident occurred at about 6pm on the day at a remote place called Ninety Degree in the Udaipur border area when a dump truck fell into a roadside ditch, said the UNO.

On Wednesday evening, Six people were killed and eight others were injured after a dump truck lost control and plunged into a ditch on the Sajek-Udaipur border area in Sajek of Rangamati's Baghaichhari.
