DHAKA, April 25, 2024 (BSS) - Bangladesh Petroleum Exploration and Production Company Limited (BAPEX) and S.C. Euro Gas Systems S.R.L, Romania have signed an agreement to procure and install three wellhead compressors with a capacity of 10 million cubic feet per day and associated facilities at Srikail gas field in Cumilla.

The agreement was signed under the 'Procurement and Installation of Wellhead Compressors at Srikail Gas Field Project' of BAPEX at a city hotel on Tuesday, said a press release here today.

BAPEX Managing Director Md. Shoyeb and officials of the S.C Euro Gas Systems S.R.L Romania were present.

The contract worth of USD 15.92 million was signed following the approval of the Cabinet Committee on Government Purchase.

It is expected that after completion of procurement and installation of the three wellhead compressors and associated facilities at the gas field, it will be possible to produce a maximum amount of gas from the gas wells of Srikail gas field.
