DHAKA, April 28, 2024 (BSS) - Journalist leaders today demanded formation of the 10th Wage Board immediately and implementation of the 9th Wage Board award.

They placed the demand at the biennial council of Dhaka Sub-Editors' Council at National Press Club here, said a press release.
 
They also said earlier Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina directed the Information and Broadcasting Ministry to form the 10th Wage Board, but the ministry is yet to implement it.
 
BFUJ-Bangladesh Federal Union of Journalists President and Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha (BSS) Chief News Editor Omar Faruque, Secretary General Dip Azad, DUJ General Secretary Akhter Hossain and Sub-Editors Council general secretary Abul Hossain Hridoy, among others, addressed the meeting.

Dhaka Sub-Editors Council President Mamun Farazi presided.
