DHAKA, April 29, 2024 (BSS) - Sheikh Moktar Hossain, father of Sheikh Alauddin Biplob, a staff of Awami League president's political office in Dhanmondi, died of old-age complications at his residence in Bagherhat district on Friday.

He was 87.

Moktar is survived by his wife, three sons, three daughters and a host of relatives.

Awami League (AL) General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader today expressed profound shock and sorrow at the death of Moktar Hossain.

In a condolence message, Quader prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family.
