DHAKA, May 13, 2024 (BSS) - State Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Nasrul Hamid today said a roadmap is being formulated to increase the use of artificial

intelligence (AI) along with modern technology to ease life.

“Artificial intelligence will ease our daily activities. Technology will play vital role in building knowledge-based society. Engineers should play responsible role in increasing the use of technology at every level in work field,” he said.

Nasrul was addressing the closing ceremony of a seminar titled “The Engineers for Transforming Technology Driven Smart Bangladesh” at Engineers Institution, Bangladesh.
 
He urged the engineers to use technology as the strength for making welfare of the people to build a developed country.

Noting power and energy are the main driving force of the country’s economy, he said the use of technology in power and energy sector is increasing gradually.

A total of 10 articles were presented in the seminar while Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) Professor Dr Engineer Munaz Ahmed Noor presented the keynote paper.
 
IEB President Engineer Md Abdus Sabur, MP, chaired the function while IEB General Secretary Engineer SM Manjurul Haque Manju also spoke.
