DHAKA, May 25, 2024 (BSS) - After the completion of workover works of well number 14 of Titas Gas Field of Bangladesh Gas Fields Company Limited (BGFCL), gas supply to national grid began from today.
 
Energy and Mineral Resources Secretary Md Nurul Alam inaugurated it, said a press release.
 
Around 12 million cubic feet gas will be supplied from the well number 14 to the national grid every day on experimental basis.
 
On March 19 last, workover works began and it ended on May 21.

Petrobangla Chairman Zanendra Nath Sarker, Energy and Mineral Resources Division Additional Secretaries Md Humayun Kabir and Dr Md Rafiqul Islam, Bangladesh Petroleum Exploration and Production Company Limited (BAPEX) Managing Director Md Shoyeb, Sylhet Gas Fields Limited Managing Director Md Mizanur Rahman and BGFCL Managing Director Engineer Md Fazlul Haque were present in the inaugural ceremony.
