MANIKGANJ, MAY 27, 2024 (BSS) -The ferry movement in between Paturia-Daulatdia and Aricha-Kazirhat routes have been suspended from last night due to gusty weather Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Corporation (BIWTC) Paturia Ghat sources said.

Deputy General Manager (DGM) BIWTC Paturia ghat Shah Mohammad Khaled Newaz said BSS that the ferry movement at both the ghats Paturia-Daulatdia and Aricha-Kazirhat were remaining suspended from 9 pm on Sunday according to the direction of higher authority.

DGM Khaled Newaz said a total of 250 trucks, 11 buses and 30 other cars are staying at the ghat for ferrying, but they were not given tickets and asked to go alternative way, adding that the ferry movements in between Paturia-Daulatdia and Aricha-Kazirhat will remain suspend until further direction from the BIWTC authority.

Meanwhile all other engine driven and country boats are remaining suspended both the ghats.
