DHAKA, June 5, 2024 (BSS) - Valiant Freedom Fighter (FF) and president of Madhupur upazila unit Awami League of Tangail district Khandakar Shafi Uddin Moni died of old-age complications at his residence early today.

He was 82.

Shafi left behind his wife, two sons and a host of relatives and well-wishers to mourn his death.

Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader expressed profound shock and sorrow at the death of Shafi.

He prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family.
