RAJSHAHI, June 05, 2024 (BSS)- Indonesia is interested to work with agriculture, education, culture and tourism in Rajshahi for furthermore promotion of those.

Indonesian ambassador to Bangladesh Heru Hartanto Subolo revealed this during a courtesy call on Mayor of Rajshahi City Corporation AHM Khairuzzaman Liton at the latter's city bhaban office here today.

In response, Mayor Liton expressed his heartfelt thanks to the envoy for their interests.

Envoy Heru Hartanto Subolo said there are many quality educational institutions, including universities, in Indonesia. "We want to share knowledge and culture through providing one-year students scholarship and three-month scholarship on art and culture to the Indonesian institutions," he added.

Apart from this, they are interested in working with Rajshahi's agricultural products and crops.

Mayor AHM Khairuzzaman Liton said the envoy expressed their interests of cooperation in different sectors, including agriculture, education, culture and tourism.

Besides, there are fields, particularly solar plant installation, students' scholarship and tourism, to work. "We will inform the envoy specifically in writing," he added.
