Young, educated talents should be given places in party: Razzaque

TANGAIL, Sept 26, 2021 (BSS) – Agriculture Minister Dr Md Abdur Razzaque today laid emphasis on giving more opportunities to the youth and educated individuals in the party as it needs to create the leaders of tomorrow.
 
"We want to maintain this trend of development done by Awami League. Aiming to do this, the Awami League will have to stay in power tomorrow as well. The party needs to create the leadership of tomorrow. That is why young and educated talents should be given more opportunities in the party," he said.
 
The minister was speaking as the chief guest at a meeting of the district Awami League (AL) executive council at the district council auditorium in Tangail.

He underscored the need for inspiring the youth in the ideology of Awami League so that the youth could strengthen their abilities by applying the wisdom and experience of the elders and veterans of the party.

He added that said the BNP, Jamaat, Hefazat and lunatics are very happy that the Taliban have come to power in Afghanistan in the hope that money and weapons will come from there.
 
With the help of these, they (BNP, Jamaat, Hefazat and lunatics) will create instability in the country, he said, adding that but the Awami League will deal with all their conspiracies and malpractices with iron hands.
 
Addressing the leaders and workers of AL, Razzaque further said that the interests of the party should be given more importance than the interests of individuals.
 
He urged all leaders and activists to remain united without going against the nominated candidates of the party in the interest of the individual.  

He said the next national election will be held in two years and ahead of that, the team of AL needs to be stronger, better organized and united.
 
That is why the district, upazila, municipality, union and ward conferences of the party have to be completed soon, he added.  

The minister called upon the leaders and workers to make preparations for the formation of various conferences and committees.
 
Tangail District Awami League President and District Council Chairman Fazlur Rahman Khan Farooq presided over the function while General Secretary Zoaherul Islam, MP conducted it.
 
AL Education and Human Resources Secretary Shamsun Nahar Chapa and lawmakers Chhota Monir, Chanowar Hossain and Hasan Imam Khan also spoke, among others, on the occasion.
