DHAKA, June 13, 2024 (BSS) - A team of Customs Intelligence and Investigation Directorate (CIID) arrested a man with 5 gold bars worth around Taka 1.6 crore at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (HSIA) on Wednesday.

The arrested man was identified as Shahin Sheikh, a resident of Munshiganj district, CIID Assistant Director Farhana Begum said today.

As suspicion was raised, the team found those gold bars after searching his body, she said.

He was later handed over to the airport police. A case has been filed with the Airport Police Station in this regard.
