SANGSAD BHABAN, June 13, 2024 (BSS) – Treasury bench and independent lawmakers said containing inflation and ensuring social safety have been given priority in the proposed budget for fiscal year 2024-25.
They said the budget will lessen disparity and bring comfort among the common people side by side ensuring social safety.
During the general discussion on the national budget of 2024-25 fiscal in parliament, the lawmakers said the proposed budget will keep the economic growth of the country and speed up the development journey.
Treasury bench MPs Muhammed Sadique (Sunamganj-4), Alauddin Ahmed Chowdhury (Feni-1), Mustaque Ahmed Ruhi (Netrokona-1), Dr. Samil Uddin Ahmed Shimul (ChapaiNawabganj-1), Md. Aftab Uddin Sarker (Nilphamari-1), Md Biplob Hasan (Kurigram-4), Abdus Salam Murshedy (Khulna-4), Mohammad Mohit Ur Rahman (Mymensingh-4), Hasina Bari Chowdhury (Women Seat-31), Laila Parvin (Women Seat-13) and Md Mazharul Islam (Thakurgaon-2) and independent lawmaker Md. Nasser Shahrear Zahedee (Jhenaidah-2) and Md Zakaria (Dinajpur-1) took part in the discussions.
