DHAKA, June 13, 2024 (BSS) – A total of 1,752 veterinary medical teams will perform duties in cattle markets across the country on the occasion of the holy Eid-ul-Azha which will be observed on June 17.

Fisheries and Livestock Minister and Awami League Presidium member Abdur Rahman disclosed it at the inauguration ceremony of the medical service program of Qurbani Cattle Market on the premises of Department of Livestock Services here today, a press release said.

The medical teams will discharge their duties in 19 cattle markets in Dhaka, the release added.

They will also monitor the health and condition of the sacrificial animals at 1,082 permanent and 2,016 temporary cattle markets throughout country.
