DHAKA, June 21, 2024 (BSS) - Light to moderate rain or thundershowers
accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at most places over
eight divisions with moderately heavy to very heavy falls at places over the
country.

"Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind
is likely to occur at most places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh,
Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions with moderately heavy to
very heavy falls at places over the country," said a met office forecast for
the next 24 hours begins from 9am today.

Day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country, the
forecast added.

Trough of westerly low lies over West Bengal to the Northwest Bay. Monsoon is
active over Bangladesh and moderate to strong elsewhere over the North Bay.

Country's maximum temperature on Thursday was recorded 35.4 degree Celsius at
Jashore district and today's minimum temperature 22.8 degree Celsius was
recorded at Jaipurhat district.

Country's maximum rainfall for the last twenty-four hours till 6am today was
recorded 87millimeters (mm) at Cox's Bazar district.
