DHAKA, Sept 27, 2021 (BSS) - Hamiduzzaman Robi, former managing editor of the national news agency, Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha (BSS), passed away at a city hospital this evening.
He was 74.
"My father was rushed to the city's Ibn Sina Hospital in Shangkar when his oxygen level came down alarmingly where he breathed his last at 6.30pm," his son Sakib Prottoy told BSS tonight.
He left behind his wife, two sons, a host of professional colleagues, relatives and well-wishers to mourn his death.
He will be laid to eternal rest in the city's Rayer Bazaar graveyard tomorrow.
Meanwhile, BSS Managing Director and Chief Editor Abul Kalam Azad in a message of condolence expressed profound shock and sorrow at the death of Hamiduzzaman Robi.
He also conveyed sympathy to the bereaved family and prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul.
