DHAKA, June 24, 2024 (BSS) - Chief of Army Staff General Waker-Uz-Zaman today paid tributes to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman by placing a wreath at his portrait at Bangabandhu Memorial Museum here.

Later, he signed the visitor's book kept there, said an ISPR release.

Earlier, the army chief paid tributes to martyred army members who laid down their lives during the great Liberation War by placing wreaths at Shikha Anirban here.

Later, a smartly turned-out contingent of Bangladesh Army gave a guard of honour to the army chief at Senakunja and he planted a tree sapling there.

After placing wreaths at the portrait of Father of the Nation, the army chief paid tributes to valiant martyrs of the great Liberation War by placing wreaths at the National Martyrs' Memorial at Savar and he gave salute in honour of valiant martyrs.
