DHAKA, July 04, 2024 (BSS) - Khulna University (KU) Vice-Chancellor (VC) Professor Dr. Mahmood Hossain and Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST) Vice-Chancellor Prof Farid Uddin Ahmed today paid a courtesy call on President Mohammed Shahabuddin at Bangabhaban here today.

President's Press Secretary Md. Joynal Abedin told BSS that during the meeting, they informed the President about the academic and general activities of their respective universities.

President Shahabuddin said the role of universities in the expansion of higher education is very important.

He said the curriculum should be formulated in the universities in such a way that the students get world-class education and prove themselves as competent at the international level.

The Head of the State directed authorities concerned to take effective steps to improve the quality of research in universities.
