DHAKA, Sept 29, 2021 (BSS) - Awami League (AL) Presidium Member Advocate Jahangir Kabir Nanak today warned the evil forces of the country saying that if they plan to burn people again in the name of the movement, the people of the country will be united and give befitting reply to them.

 
"If they plan to burn people again in the name of the movement, the people of the country will unitedly respond," he said.
 
He said this while addressing a special prayer on the occasion of 75th birthday of people-friendly leader and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina organized by AL relief and social welfare sub-committee at Zahir Raihan Sanskritik Kendra here.
 
He also distributed high quality food, clothing and health care items among orphans, helpless and destitute there.  
 
Criticizing the BNP, Jahangir Kabar Nanak said that BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said many things about their achievements but could not prove those whereas Sheikh Hasina's development activities will not end even if it is described all day long.

Speaking on the occasion, AL Organizing Secretary Mirza Azam said Bangladesh is moving forward under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.  
 
So a competent leader is needed to strengthen the hand of the Prime Minister, he added.
 
Qualified leaders should be given qualified posts through verification and selection, he said, adding that then the party will be able to reach the goal shown by Father of Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
 
With AL central committee member Dr Mostafa Jalal Mohiuddin in the chair, the doa-mahfil was, attended, among others, by Awami League Organizing Secretary Shafiul Alam Chowdhury Nadel, AL Labour and Manpower Affairs Secretary Habibur Rahman Siraj, Dhaka South city Unit of AL President Abu Ahmad Monnafi, General Secretary Humayun Kabir and Joint General Secretary Mohiuddin Mohi.
 
AL Relief and Social Welfare Secretary Sujit Roy Nandi conducted it.
