DHAKA, July 18, 2024 (BSS) – The Parliamentary Committee on Estimates today suggested providing six-month basic training to the newly appointed BCS (Health) cadre doctors.
The committee of the 12th parliament made the recommendation at its fourth meeting held at the Jatiya Sangsad (JS) Bhaban here with its chairman Capt. A B Tajul Islam (Retd) in the chair, said in a press release.
In the meeting, instead of two months of training, the committee recommended the ministry to take appropriate measures to provide basic training of six months to newly appointed BCS (Health) cadre doctors at Bangladesh Public Administration Training Centre along with the officers of other cadres, the release added.
Besides, the committee also recommended the ministry to make posting of the officers who have obtained PhD degree from abroad spending government money in the post commensurate with the subject in which their degrees were obtained.
Committee members JS Chief Whip Noor-E-Alam Chowdhury, Muhammad Nazrul Islam, Pran Gopal Datta and Md Shahriar Alam attended the meeting.
