Tk 10 crore damages of DSCC estimated in arson attack 

DHAKA, July 25, 2024 (BSS) - The financial damages of the Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) is estimated at around Taka 10 crore in the arson attack during the recent violence over the quota reform movement.

In a statement issued here today, the DSCC condemned the arson attack launched by miscreants on public property saying people is owner of public property.

The organized miscreants engaged in large scale of destruction of public property for halting development spree of the country, the statement read.   

Such violent activities of anti-liberation forces are unacceptable; the DNCC expressed deep condemnation of the attack on public assets. 

In fact, through these destructions, the nefarious attempt and conspiracy to overthrow the democratically elected government has been clearly visible to the countrymen. The DSCC strongly protested such planned destructive activities carried out by the miscreants. 

According to the statement, the DSCC urged relevant organizations to identify the culprits for taking stern actions against them. 

In the recent violence, the attackers set fire on three trucks and toll plaza of mayor Hanif Fly over and vandalized three vehicles and other establishments of the DSCC.
