Dhaka, July 30, 2024 (BSS) - Freedom Fighter Journalist Command today welcomed the decision to ban the politics of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami and its student wing Islami Chhatra Shibir.

In a statement, President of Freedom Fighter Journalist Command Azizul Islam Bhuiyan and general secretary Salim Ullah Salim said Jamaat-e-Islami and Islami Chhatra Shibir must be banned as the party and its student wing Islami Chhatra Shibir launched destructive activities, including killing people and damaging state property.

On July 29, leaders of Awami League-led 14-party alliance agreed to ban the politics of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami and its student wing Islami Chhatra Shibir for their alleged involvement in ant-state activities.
