DHAKA, Aug 1, 2024 (BSS) - Liberation War Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Haq today said the miscreants, who killed people and destroyed the state property through arson attacks and terrorism, will be brought to book quickly.

"The attackers have already been identified . . . they will be brought to justice quickly", he said.

He made the comments while addressing as the chief guest a human chain formed by the "Muktijoddhar Sontan O Prajanmo Samannay Parishad" in front of the Jatiya Press Club (JPC) in the city protesting the killing of people, anarchy, arson attack and destruction of the government properties by BNP-Jamaat.

"The main objective of BNP-Jamaat was to overthrow the government by capitalizing on the students' movement," the minister said.

Former shipping minister and valiant freedom fighter Shajahan Khan, MP, presided over the event.

Former chairman of Central Command Council of the Bangladesh Muktijoddha Sangsad Major General Golam Helal Morshed Khan (Retd), Bir Bikram, and leaders of various professional bodies were present.
