DHAKA, Sept 30, 2021 (BSS) - A five-member delegation of the Bangladesh Supreme Court (SC) today submitted Supreme Court's Annual Report-2020 to President M Abdul Hamid at Bangabhaban here today.

     Chief Justice Syed Mahmud Hossain led the delegation.

     Justice Mohammad Iman Ali and Justice Md Nuruzzaman of the Appellate Division, and Justice Farid Ahmed and Justice Sahidul Karim of the High Court Division accompanied him.

     The delegation briefed the President on various aspects of the report and overall functioning of the Supreme Court, Deputy Press Secretary to the President Munshi Jalal Uddin told BSS.

     Terming the function of virtual court as one of the benefits of Digital Bangladesh concept, the head of the state thanked the Chief Justice for removing sufferings of the people by launching a virtual court during the COVID-19 pandemic.

     President's Office Secretary Sampad Barua, Military Secretary Major General SM Salahuddin Islam and Secretary (Attachment) Md Wahidul Islam Khan were present there.
