DHAKA, Aug 10, 2024 (BSS) – BNP Standing Committee Member Gayeshwar Chandra Roy has said that the fall of the Sheikh Hasina-led government has taken place due to the mass uprising created by the collective movement of students-people.

He said this while addressing a doa-mahfil organized by the Keraniganj Upazila South unit of BNP at Jinjira party office here on Friday as the chief guest.

A special prayer was also offered there seeking speedy recovery of BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia.

During the event, deep respect was paid to all the martyred students of the anti-discrimination student movement.

With BNP's Keraniganj upazila (South) branch president Advocate Nipun Roy Chowdhury in the chair, the event was attended, among others, by Veteran BNP leader Haji Md Nazim Uddin, Valiant Freedom Fighter Advocate Sultan Naser, Dakkin Keraniganj Thana unit of BNP Organizing Secretary Md Isha Khan, Assistant General Secretary Mostak Ahmed and Publicity Secretary Iman Ayatollah.
